Day 1 Sparkle & Shine - repost

Reposted 6/18/17 due to excessive spam activity in the comments.
I signed up for another Online Card Class; this one is Sparkle & Shine.  I had hoped to get more projects completed and posted before the live gallery closes but work had other plans.  I did get a ton of inspiration and seriously learned why the PearlEx powders I own have never produced a good finished product...they do not have a binder!!
I will experiment with many of the techniques in the coming weeks but for now here are the only cards that I was able to finish.  I made Mother's Day cards for my mom, my mother in law and my grandmother.  I created the flower using a scribbled circle and a flourish:

I used Papertrey Ink Circle Scribbles Dies to make the flower and followed Jennifer's in-lay technique using a Lovely Lady scribble circle.  I do not have any adhesive sheets but I do have a Xyron 5" sticker maker that worked great to hold the Doodle Bug Designs Sugar Coating Glitter.  The 'flower stem' is from PTI's Fancy Flourish stamp set.  I used an EK Success punch for the little tag.
Other supplies are:  PTI Stamper Select White card stock, New Leaf pattern paper & ink, Versafine Onyx Black, Sew Easy thread, 3M foam tape, Spectrum Noir glitter pen for the tag, PTI My Mother, My Friend for the Mom sentiment and inside I used PTI Keep It Simple: Mother.
With the popularity of the Beauty and the Beast movie right now I think this resembles the rose.  Thanks for looking.

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Happy Birthday

I have made myself ink up my stamps this weekend because it has been absolutely forever since I have given myself time to do what I enjoy...crafting.  We all know how life gets in the way from time to time so this weekend I decided to dust off my blogger reading feed and check out some challenges.  This is my second challenge for the weekend:  Simon Says Wednesday Challenge.  This challenge blog is celebrating it's 8th year so the theme is Happy Birthday.
I went out on Pinterest for some inspiration and found this card from I'm in Haven.  I pulled out my SSS Favorite Flowers (June 2014 card kit stamp set) and the SSS It's Your Birthday set (which I think I got for free last year during my birthday month) and created this card:

I used Core'dinations 65lb vellum and randomly stamped the open swirly flowers, leaves and such from the Friendly Flowers set in Versamark ink and heat embossed with Ranger Gold Embossing powder.  I used cotton swabs to ink up the backside of the vellum with the following ink:  SSS Hybrid Cubes in:  Fern, Evergreen, Deep Purple & Sunshine.  Hero Arts - Ultra Pink.  My cardstock is Papertrey Ink Stamper's Select White.  I use 3M Foam tape to pop up the white panels and added a few My Mind's Eye, Now & Then, Gold Enamel Dots for interest to the center of the flowers.  Thanks for looking and have a great week!

PTI MIM #280 - Stamping Outside of the Box

Over on the Papertrey Ink blog this week for their Make-It-Monday challenge is Lexi with her Samping Outside of the Box layout technique.  I made the following card:

I used the Stamp-a-Faire 2014, 1960's set for the background 'square' stamped in Lemon Tart ink.  I then used the Paper Clippings: Birthday stamp and die set and stamped in Tropical Teal, Hawaiian Shores, Aqua Mist, Green Parakeet, Limeade Ice and Summer Sunrise (colors from Betsy Veldman release post and PTI gallery).  The sentiment is also from the 1960's set and was stamped in Tropical Teal.

My other supplies are:  Papertrey Ink Stamper Select White cardstock, Cuttlebug, 3M foam tape, Xyron sticker maker and Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen on the white frosting parts and candle flames.  Thanks for looking and have a great week.

PTI - 10th Anniversary - Past, Present and Future

Over at Papertrey Ink they are celebrating their 10th Anniversary.  I made my first purchase with PTI in May of 2012 and have been hooked ever since.  Their monthly releases, weekly Monday challenges and Stamp-a-faire events are spectacular and they always put the customer first with prizes and the way they package their deliveries is better than any other out there.
This year they are starting the anniversary festivities off with a look at the past, present and future.  So they asked customers to go back to their photos and find our favorite PTI project and post it.  I have a lot of favorites but I narrowed it down to my submittal for their Make It Monday #107 challenge from March of 2013.
