Stenciled - post 3

Only one more post after this one to complete the projects from Stenciled.
Day 1 - Technique #3 is color resist.  I very carefully masked off the edge of the Simon Says Stamps Moroccan stencil so I could use Versamark on both sides of the panel with clear embossing powder so when I inked over it the white cardstock from below would show through.  The instructors said make your panel bigger than you need then cut it down which I did many times through this journey.  The colors are PTI Limeade Ice, Lemon Tart and Distress Ink Broken China.  The sentiment is the Wonderful Words Hello die from PTI in Limeade Ice cut three times for dimension and the Sunshine is from that stamp set.

Day 2 - Technique #3 is tracing inside the stencil not by tracing around and filling in but making up and down lines with color pencil/watercolor pencil to create the shape of the stencil.  I tediously used the new Simon Says Stamps Heart Parade die with some stencil material to make my own (yikes) but it turned out well.  I don't have watercolor pencils so I used basic Crayola.  The sentiment is PTI Heart Prints stamped in Hibiscus Burst and Pure Poppy.
Day 3 - Technique #2 is to use translucent paste.  I don't have any so I substituted Distress Rock Candy Crackle paint that I have never used.  I love how it turned out.  I use the Simon Says Stamps Stencil Leaves and painted in the paint.  I left it to dry for a few days and then went over it with Distress Ink Peeled Paint.  The flower is a new set from Papertrey Ink called Doodlie Do.  I was noticing that I hadn't made a lot of things with purple so I wanted a purple flower.  I colored it with Copics - V01, V04, V06, Y02, Y17 & Y18.
I am also entering this in CAS-ual Fridays:  CFC127 Over the Edge

I accidentally posted about the following card in my previous post here and can't add it to the gallery so I am posting it again here so I can add it to Day 4.
One more post and I will be calling it a night!
