Stenciled post 2 and TWO challenges

Last week, January 24-27, I participated in my first ever Online Card Class - Stenciled.  I won it from Simon Says Stamps blog.  I will be taking more of these classes now that I know how they work.  If you are like me and are hesitant to try it jump in and do it.  It was a 4 day class with multiple techniques each day and they even threw in some bonus material from the instructors published blogs.  I have many cards I want to link up to the gallery by the end of the night so I better get started.
Day 1 - Technique #1 is posted here.
Day 1 - Technique #2 is to use spray ink with your stencils.  I used Hero Arts Tweed Pattern stencil with homemade spray mist in Blueberry Sky and Spring Rain (PTI) along with Tsukineko Sheer Shimmer Silver.  The I got a little heavy handed with the silver.  The paper is PTI White and Blueberry Sky, the sentiment is from their Embroidered Blooms set.
Day 2 - Technique #1 is to stamp inside of a stencil.  I used Tim Holtz Splatter stencil and you can vaguely see inside the Hawaiian Shores and Plum Pudding that I stamped some images from Simon Says Stamps Cupcake Party and Giving Thanks sets.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps Love This; the sentiment really says 'Sending Big Holiday Wishes' but I cut out the Holiday.  My other ink colors are also PTI, Harvest Gold, Raspberry Fizz and Limeade Ice.  You can see that the ink didn't want to come off the resist in the pink area and I ended up fuzzing the cardstock a bit so I gave up.
Day 3 - Technique #1 is the basics of embossing pastes.  I used my Cricut to cut my own stencil from some plastic packaging.  I am not sure which cartridge this was from because I use my Gypsy I tend to forget to look.  I used Dreamweavers white embossing paste.  I had no way to hold on to the stencil so I treated it similar to frosting a cake - glop on the paste and never let your craft scraper touch the paper or everything will shift, with a cake you get crumbs. The paper is Papertrey Ink White and Pure Poppy.  I colored in the heart with my Wink of Stella clear glitter pen.
I am also entering this in Addicted to CAS:  Challenge #31 - Love.  Check out the awesome texture below.

Day 4 - Technique #1 is to make a homemade stencil.  I did that a lot so I don't have a card specifically for this technique.
Day 4 - Technique #2 is to use a stencil to dry emboss and then ink over it while the stencil is still in place.  I was absolutely determined to figure out a pretty way to use my Spellbinders Impressabilities Butterfly stencil that I have had for years now.  I used watercolor paper to help soak up the ink in hopes that it wouldn't seep under the stencil while I was inking.  The colors are PTI Spring Rain, Lemon Tart and Limeade Ice.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps Thinking of You stamp set and the Butterfly was punched from an EK Success Punch in Spring Rain paper and then embossed with Versamark and clear embossing powder.
I am also entering this card in CAS-ual Fridays:  CFC127 - Over the Edge.

Bonus Day 3 - Technique #2 is to use two stencils for one image.  On this I lightly inked the very open butterfly (homemade from the Cricut) with PTI Soft Stone, Winter Wisteria, Royal Velvet, Plum Pudding and Lavender Moon.  I then put the Simon Says Stamps Falling Snow stencil over top and heavily inked in the dots.  The sentiment is from PTI Embroidered Blooms set in Versamark and white embossing powder.  I fussy cut out the butterfly and put it on Winter Wisteria cardstock mounted on Royal Velvet.
